The Dairyman's Daughter sits at the heart of Arreton Barns and offers great local live music, fabulous real ales and a delicious menu of traditional home cooked dishes. We're open all day every day with food served from 12noon - 9:30pm. Muddy bots and well behaved dogs are welcome!Pubs don't get a more traditional setting, at the heart of an ancient village, nestled in the lee of the downs at Arreton.

The Dairyman's Daughter is named after Elizabeth Wallbridge, a local girl who died in 1801 and was made famous by the contemporary book 'Annals of the Poor'. She's buried in the village churchyard alongside a 12th century church, village green and duck pond. In fact, Arreton Barns is also one of the Island's most popular visitor attractions and it's easy to enjoy browsing the shops and watching local craftsmen at work after a hearty pub lunch. Beautifully decorated in original memorabilia, the Dairyman's Daughter has a lovely outdoor courtyard and sheltered seating area, ideal for the summer months.

The extensive menu of home cooked dishes showcases the local produce from the Arreton Valley. "We have live music from Island bands and artists most nights of the week as well as weekly quizzes, folk and jazz evening. Bring along an instrument and join in!"
